INTERNET BANKING DEFINITIONS

Have you been using Internet Banking and you are not sure what something might mean? Internet Banking system uses the following terms:

Account alias: A name you give an account so that you don't have to recall the exact account number; think of an alias as an account nickname.

Cache: When your browser calls up a Web page, it puts a copy of that page in a special memory, called a cache, for faster recall the next time you view the page. Online Banking does not save confidential account information to the cache.

Fee: An amount your financial institution charges you to perform a service. The fee is noted on the transaction page. If you cancel a transaction at any time before it is completed, the fee will not be charged.

Foreign account: Any account at a financial institution outside this specific financial institution and its branches.

Navigating: Moving around from one page to another within the Online Banking system.

Transaction: Any request to the Online Banking system including transfers, deposits, services, or requests for information.
